A workshop built on straight answers
DriveTech Garage is an independent, Czech-owned workshop on Calle Pintores in Pilar de la Horadada. We look after cars for local families, long-term residents and seasonal visitors across the southern Costa Blanca.
Our story
DriveTech Garage
DriveTech Garage’s founders have roots that go back to the heart of Europe, the Czech Republic, and they run the business with just as big heart, caring for customers and local employees who make it what it is today. DriveTech Garage serves people who live in the area permanently, international residents, seasonal homeowners, and drivers who are simply visiting or passing through.
Where it began
For one founder, the journey into mechanics began more than a decade ago with a frustrating experience involving his own car. He had paid a lot for a repair that didn’t fix anything, and was left utterly confused about what had actually been done and what still needed doing to get his car running properly. Instead of accepting the bad experience, he decided to learn more about cars himself and do a much better job at it. What started as a personal interest soon became a profession. One of the early milestones was rebuilding a BMW with the well-known M57D30 engine. More than just another complicated yet successful repair, it was the moment that confirmed he had chosen the right path and would take it as far as it could go. The second founder completed the hands-on car experience with practical business experience. With real passion for cars backed by past experience in the car industry, it makes for a perfect fit. Bringing it all together, DTG took its first breath of Mediterranean air.
We are proud of where we came from, the local team we are building in Spain, and the trust every customer places in us when they leave their vehicle in our care. We may not be the biggest garage in the area, and we are not trying to be. We would rather focus on doing a proper job on the cars we have than rush to fill a forecourt with them.

Diagnose before replacing
Swapping parts until the fault disappears is expensive guesswork. We do not do that.

We explain what your car needs, why it needs it, and recommend only the work we believe is necessary.

If something is wearing but still safe, we will tell you that and give you a realistic timescale rather than sell you the job today.
